Ammos

This is the beach of Chora, one of the largest of the island, right next to the port. It has a beautiful sandy coastline with shallow turquoise waters. There are quite a few shops in the area, too. You can go there on foot or by car (there is a parking space).  It is ideal for families with young children, people with difficulty in movement, couples and young people.

Platia Pounta or Italian

This beach is called “Italian” due to the nickname of the owner of the house that is located just behind the beach. Although it is not a very big beach, it is very beautiful with golden sand and clear water and a small cove which offers isolation and tranquility.
It is accessible by car or bike from the main road (there is a parking space), on foot from the coastal path or by boat.

Pori

This is one of the most famous beaches of the Cyclades. It has white sand and beautiful emerald waters. It is particularly popular with surfers, sand artists, and in general those who love nature. There are two beach bars and a few small shops on the coast in order to cover the needs of the bathers.

Charokopou or Foinikas

This is the first beach you will find along the coastal path of the island. It has golden sand and emerald waters and it mainly attracts families. It is accessible by car or bike from the main road (there is a parking space), on foot from the coastal path or by boat. This beach is accessible to people with disabilities.

Χαροκόπου ή Φοίνικας

Είναι η πρώτη παραλία που συναντά κανείς ακολουθώντας το παραλιακό μονοπάτι του νησιού. Μεγάλη και πολυσύχναστη, με χρυσή αμμουδιά και σμαραγδένια νερά, συγκεντρώνει κυρίως οικογένειες.
Προσβάσιμη με αυτοκίνητο ή με ενοικιαζόμενο ποδήλατο από τον επαρχιακό δρόμο, με τα πόδια από το παραλιακό μονοπάτι. Υπάρχει χώρος για πάρκινγκ. Θαλάσσια πρόσβαση με καΐκι. Υπάρχει προσβασιμότητα για άτομα με ειδικές ανάγκες.

Πορί

Μεγάλη σε μήκος, με λευκή άμμο και υπέροχα σμαραγδένια νερά, δικαίως θεωρείται μία από τις κορυφαίες παραλίες των Κυκλάδων. Είναι ιδιαίτερα αγαπητή στους σέρφερς, στους καλλιτέχνες της άμμου, και γενικότερα στους φυσιολάτρες. Δύο beach bars και λίγα μικρομάγαζα στην ακτή καλύπτουν τις ανάγκες των λουομένων.

Θα την προσεγγίσετε με αυτοκίνητο ή με ενοικιαζόμενο ποδήλατο από τον επαρχιακό δρόμο, με τα πόδια από το παραλιακό μονοπάτι. Υπάρχει χώρος για πάρκινγκ. Θαλάσσια πρόσβαση με καΐκι.

Πλατιά Πούντα ή Ιταλίδα

Πολλοί την γνωρίζουν και σαν Ιταλίδα, από το παρατσούκλι της ιδιοκτήτριας του σπιτιού που βρίσκεται πίσω ακριβώς από την παραλία. Δεν είναι πολύ μεγάλη σε μήκος, αλλά είναι πολύ όμορφη με χρυσή άμμο και καθαρά νερά, ενώ ο μικρός όρμος στην αρχής της (το Ιταλιδάκι) προσφέρεται για μεγαλύτερη απομόνωση.

Θα την προσεγγίσετε με τα πόδια ή με ενοικιαζόμενο ποδήλατο από το παραλιακό μονοπάτι, με καϊκι από τη θάλασσα.

Άμμος

Είναι η παραλία της Χώρας, μια από τις μεγαλύτερες του νησιού, δίπλα στο λιμάνι. Έχει υπέροχη αμμουδιά, με αρκετά μαγαζάκια τριγύρω και ρηχά γαλαζοπράσινα νερά. Είναι εύκολα προσβάσιμη με τα πόδια, ενώ υπάρχει κοινοτικό πάρκινγκ. Ιδανική για οικογένειες με μικρά παιδιά, άτομα με δυσκολία στις μετακινήσεις, ζευγάρια και νέους.
